I have never been to Lollapalooza. Crazy, right? Well not really. I already know it’s not going to be my scene. It’s more so for 20 something’s and most of the bands I barely know. Plus the ridiculous ticket prices keep me far away.
What I do like is the after party shows. Chicago knows how to throw a good party. All over the city hotels, restaurants, lounges, and clubs take part in the afterhours Lolla festivities, which normally include some celeb sightings. Last night some friends and I headed to Virgin Hotel first where 3 different bands were performing (even ran into Kid Cudi). Afterwards we hit up Renaissance hotel with DJ Franco V. Then we capped off the night at Untitled…all for the entrance price of FREE. Now that’s how you do Lolla. Beware most places do charge for entrance during Lolla so do your research. Parties galore, so you’re bound to find one that suits you. Next year (2016) Lollapalooza is June 29th – 31st.
