I was heading to meet a friend and bumped into another friend that told me about some party in an alley he was going to later on. Hmm…..interesting I thought. First off I don’t remember seeing too many alleys’, second off…a party???? My sense of adventure had me arriving at the alley on State Street between Randolph and Lake (next to channel 7 studio). To my surprise a full blown party was in session. I was told the party was hosted by “Activate” http://loopchicago.com/activate. They transform alleys into pop up urban experiences. It was so out of the ordinary. The event was free and provided live music, art, drinks, and just a bunch of creatives having a good time. Next one is August 27th. See you there!
