Last night I headed to the Field Museum for the official kick off party for Chicago Restaurant Week. The SOLD OUT First Bites Bash featured bites from more than 70 of Chicago’s most celebrated chefs. This years featured host Chef was Chef Thai Dang and our Host Mixologists was Danielle Dang of the James Beard Award-nominated Haisous Vietnamese Kitchen. This years event benefitted the James Beard Foundation’s Chicago EATS week scholarship Fund. Check out the yummy bites from the 2020 First Bites Bash below! Keep scrolling because I’m giving you my restaurant picks to head to for 2020 Chicago Restaurant Week.

ADVICE: Make sure to look at the restaurant week menu and don’t just go based on the restaurant. Usually there are no menu substitutions, so you want to make sure you like ALL the courses on the menu. Make sure you’re getting a good deal. Some of the restaurants already have daily lunch/brunch specials, so check out the restaurants that are giving you a good value for your dollar. Take advantage of drink discount specials offered at some restaurants (like Arbella) during restaurant week.
HAPPY EATING!!!
