I was one lucky lady last Friday, April 28th. I attended The Made Man Chicago event presented by Blueprint Global Group in partnership with the 100 Black Men of America, Black Enterprise Magazine, National Urban League, Upscale Magazine, 100 Black Men Chicago and the Chicago Morehouse Alumni Association, Sponsored by BMW & PNC Bank. This star-studded celebrity red carpet reception event honored African American celebrities and influential men making a difference right here in Chicago.
I was happy to already know some of the distinguished gentlemen getting honored, but there were quite a few men I didn’t know and it was an honor to be able to attend the press conference to hear from each one of them the contributions they have made in Chicago and what being a Made Man means to them.
Every Made Man of the evening was given a Rose to wear to distinguish them from the crowd. There was a reason behind the rose. We are only as strong as our community and I loved how Ky Dele (Founder of BluePrint Global Group) made sure to let them know they should be networking with each other. The main reason for the small gathering before the actual reception was for ALL The Made men to get to know each other and see how they can help each other achieve more greatness.
The evening included mingling, small bites, checking out the 2017 BMW M760i on display, and being treated to entertainment by American Award winning recording artist and producer Baritone Michael Harper.
I wanted to include the Chicago original Press Release again below because it goes into more detail of the event and other initiatives covered by Blueprint Global Group. The Made Man is not just a Chicago event, but a Nationwide event. Make sure to visit the TheMadeMan.org site to see where the next Made Man is near you.
Congrats again to ALL the 2017 Chicago Honoree’s.
