ROOH CHICAGO INTRODUCES A NEW TASTING MENU, ROOP, THAT EMBODIES THE BEAUTY OF INDIAN CUISINE CONCEIVED BY MICHELIN STARRED CHEF MIKE CORNELISSEN

ROOH Chicago, the highly-acclaimed progressive Indian restaurant and cocktail bar located at 736 W. Randolph, featured in the 2020 Michelin Guide with a “Plate” distinction, as well as being named “One of the Hottest Restaurants in Chicago” by Eater, one of the “Top 50 Restaurants in Chicago” by the Chicago Tribune, and one of the “38 Essential Chicago Restaurants” by Time Out Chicago announces an exciting new initiative.
ROOH owners Manish and Rina Mallick are launching a new tasting menu experience, ROOP, available for dinner every Wednesday-Sunday starting August 23, designed in collaboration with the acclaimed Mike Cornelissen, Executive Chef and Owner of Michelin starred restaurant, RijnZicht in the Netherlands (has had the star since 2018). Offering both vegetarian and non-vegetarian experiences, the new tasting menu, aptly named ROOP, which means beauty in Indian, embodies the word. This culinary journey celebrates the diversity of India and lets guests experience an innovative showcase of dishes from various Indian regions, curated to delight and inspire like never before. The a la carte menu is also getting an exciting beauty makeover from Executive Chef Rohit Thaledi, with more elevated presentations and twists, and a series of new dishes featured on the menu including Saag Paneer Kofta, Goan Crab Cakes with a Xec Xec Sauce and Gulab Jamun Cheesecake.
ROOH Chicago also features a variety of event spaces, including the exclusive ROOH Underground. Located on the lower level of the restaurant, ROOH Underground offers an intimate private dining experience for 10-12 guests. Other spaces include the Jhoomar Dining Room (40 seated, 55 standing), ROOH Lounge (35 seated, 50 standing), and Guldasta Dining Room (40 seated, 50 standing). ROOH Chicago also offers a second-floor buyout option for up to 100 guests.
ROOH, meaning soul or spirit, is the quintessential dining destination. Presenting an amalgamation of regional Indian flavors and modern gastronomic techniques, ROOH is open Monday-Thursday from 5pm to 10pm, Friday-Saturday from 12pm-10:30pm, and Sunday from 12pm-10pm.
