Chicago Restaurant Week will be here before you know it. (January 20th – February 5th) The 17 day celebration allows guests to enjoy an array of prix-fixe dining experiences at over 350 restaurants throughout Chicago and nearby suburbs. These multi-course meals are $25 for brunch or lunch, and $42 and/or $59 for dinner (excluding beverages, tax, and gratuity).
The highly anticipated event will feature 34 distinct Chicago neighborhoods, including 37 suburban restaurants. Of the participants 55 are women, minority and/or Black-Owned enterprises. I look forward to Chicago Restaurant Week each year and take my time scrolling through the participating restaurants list. Check it out here: eatitupchicago.com.
Earlier this week I went to preview one of the participating restaurants, Tabu Chicago. We thoroughly enjoyed the Latin cuisine and you should have them on your radar as one of your choices.
Tavi J. Restaurant Week TIPS:
DO NOT just go because of the restaurants name. Peruse the menu and make sure you like all of the courses. A lot of the time no substitutes will be allowed.
Make sure you’re getting a good deal. For example a lot of spots already offer lunch/brunch specials. Choose a spot where you’re saving a decent amount of money.
