GEJA’S CAFÉ ENCOURAGES DINERS TO “DISCOVER FONDUE”
The NEW Two-Month-Long Initiative at Chicago’s Only Fondue Restaurant Acquaints First-Time Patrons to the Legacy Behind Fondue Dining
Geja’s Cafe, Chicago’s only traditional fondue restaurant, has been charming diners for 59 years with their legendary Premier Dinner experiences, one-of-a-kind ambiance, and undeniable hospitality. While some may see fondue dining as “retro”, the fondue dining experience is in fact a historic one that Geja’s Café has perfected during its legendary tenure, and they are encouraging first-time diners to experience this storied tradition with fresh sets of eyes and empty stomachs.
“Fondue is so much more than what meets the eye and anyone who has not experienced it before is missing out on something special,” says Geja’s Café owner Jeff Lawler. “Fondue is a centuries-old dining tradition that happen to become popular on the modern dining scene in the 1970’s. While it certainly brings about a special sense of nostalgia for diners today, fondue’s use of exceptional ingredients and indulgent flavors, along with its celebration of communal dining are what makes it – and Geja’s Café – so timeless.”
All of Geja’s Café’s Premier Dinners include three exemplary fondue courses including:
· Swiss Gruyere Cheese Fondue served with assorted breads, vegetables, and fruits for dipping begins.
· A choice of Entrée Fondue – cooked in a traditional pot of seasoned oil or a vegetable broth- featuring selections of prime cuts of beef tenderloin, Australian lobster tail, white shrimp, fresh sea scallops, and boneless chicken breast. The entrée course is served alongside an abundance of fresh vegetables and an assortment of house-made gourmet dipping sauces.
· Belgium Chocolate Fondue served with marshmallows for roasting, fruit, and other delectable treats for dipping.
During the “Discover Fondue” initiative running now through May 31st, Lawler and his team will offer complimentary cheese and chocolate fondue courses to all those who are first-time patrons of the restaurant and who are ordering a Premier Dinner that evening. Diners simply need to make a note in their reservation (online or over the phone) that they are new to Geja’s Cafe, and are visiting to “discover fondue”.
During their first-time visit, diners will get acquainted with the art of fondue in its purest and most delightful form. With service staff gently guiding diners through the process, the joyful and interactive nature of fondue dining shines. Geja’s Café’s world-class wine list featuring unique and pairable varietals from all across the globe, and their expertly crafted cocktails round out the unforgettable dining experience. Taking the evening over the top is Geja’s Café’s distinctive ambiance.
Reservations for dinner at Geja’s Café are highly recommended. With Geja’s open for dinner Wednesday – Sunday, it’s easy to come and discover fondue for anything from a relaxed weeknight meal to a special celebration.
