I love Chicago, I love Food, and I love to Walk! I was EXCITED to check out a food/walking tour hosted by Chicago Food Planet Food Tour agency. Chicago Food Planet has been operating since 2006 and were rated Trip Advisor’s #1 Chicago activity. They provide top-rated food tours through Chicago’s most delicious and diverse neighborhoods. Locals and tourists alike can taste their way through authentic Chicago style dishes and over indulge at Chicago’s best restaurants.
The tour services small groups year around. All with VIP and behind-the-scenes exclusive access to 75+ restaurant partners and owners. I was recommended to check out the Gateway to the West Loop Tour. Our tour guide Terry is a native Chicagoan and filled us in on interesting tidbits on the ever booming West Loop/Fulton Market District area.

The tour group met up at Nonna’s. The meatballs there are fantastic!! Pair that with a glass of wine, we were definitely off to a good start. 🙂 My friend is a vegetarian and lucky for her Chicago Food Planet offers substitutions for vegetarians. She thoroughly enjoyed her Eggplant Parmesan.
We ventured to three other spots. Kuma’s Corner, Bonci Pizza, and ended the tour at Do Rite Donuts. You can choose between just the food package or a package that includes alcohol pairings with your meals.
