I LOVE a unique experience! I recently got to have AIRE Ancient Baths all to MYSELF to record some footage before it opened to the public in the morning. (Please note when it’s open to the public no photos or filming is allowed). After I got the fun work out of the way my friend/videographer and I relaxed amongst the serene and inviting thermal baths. Located in a restored factory from 1902 in River West (800 W Superior St, Chicago, IL 60642), close to the West Loop, AIRE Ancient Baths Chicago gives you access to this preserved structure brought back to its original splendor, where you can see the original exposed brick, wooden beams, and industrial columns of the building. Inside those walls a unique experience for the body and mind awaits, in a journey through the traditional Roman, Greek and Ottoman ancient experience of baths. AIRE Ancient Baths is a unique relaxation space where your body and mind will release the stress of everyday life. The experience offers you and allows you to feel a set of sensations with yourself or shared with whoever you want.
The AIRE Experience includes a thermal tour in a unique environment where you can move freely. You will enjoy a journey of sensations as you walk through the baths at different temperatures, strolling through a unique architectural space in the city. Let yourself be guided by candlelight and the scent of orange blossom and complete your experience with a massage or ritual to achieve a state of total relaxation of body and mind.
The AIRE Experience is truly complete when a massage or ritual is added to the iconic thermal tour. That is why they’ve designed a series of experiences that include mainly relaxing massages with specific products to bring you unique sensations. All experiences can be completed with a selection of complements to create an even more perfect trip. You can choose according to your needs or tastes to take you to the purest state of relaxation.
To avoid crowds, AIRE has a limit on the number of people taking the thermal tour. They accept a certain number of clients per hour, and only reserve a specific number of places for people who do not want massages. Massages can be performed during the entire duration of the experience, thus avoiding too many people in the thermal baths.
Reservations are required. Weekends tend to sell out earlier, as well as same day appointments. Guests must be 18 years or older. Entry starts at $145 per person and includes access to all of the baths.
