I remember my first introduction to the Causingย A Stir non-profit organization. It was at a Chicago Tribune Food Bowl event last year. Causingย A Stir was one of the cocktail providers and man were those cocktailsย DELCIOUS!ย One of the founding members of the organization, Alexis Brown, was speaking on the panel at the event. From then on out I started seeing the Causingย A Stir organization representing at many more events.
Causingย A Stir is a 501(c)(3) organization of nearly 2,000 hospitality professionals from around the globe. The organization empowers underserved and underrepresented members of the hospitality industry by supporting individuals and communities with educational tools that create a pathway for excellence.
Some of the initiatives of Causingย A Stir is developing hands-on workshops and classes for bartenders at accounts on the south side, west side, and south suburbs of Chicago. They also teach how to create & elevate bar programs in underserved communities. There main mission is toย develop collaborative partnerships to support the mission ofย diversifying the hospitality industry.ย Most importantly Causingย A Stir showcases how community and collaboration works.
In order for Causingย A Stir to change the face of the industry they need the communities support. On Sunday, February 17th join Causingย A Stir for their second annual fundraiser!

Guests will explore 5 Sensory Pods featuring 5 Mixologist & 5 Local Artists for a Collaborative Showcase of the Art of Mixology: VIP Guests will take a journey through the mind of Causing A Stir mixologists as they deconstruct handcrafted cocktails made with selected organic ingredients to creatively bring aromas, textures, flavor, and spirit together to tantalize your palate, witness visual artists bring the inspiration behind the cocktails to life.
