Summer Menu Preview at IO Godfrey

One of my favorite rooftops debuted a new summer menu and I stopped by for a preview. Head on over to IO Godfrey for a new line up of seasonal cocktails and shared plates. My favorite bites of the evening were the spicy salmon crispy rice and the tuna tostadas. They also had a decadent Dubai chocolate layered cake topped with strawberries, pistachio ganache and a chocolate glaze.

I went to a special VIP preview of the highly anticipated collaboration between the Museum of Ice Cream and the Original Rainbow Cone. The museum closed to the public for the exclusive opening night celebration of this one of a kind installation honoring a 100 years of Rainbow Cone memories, magic, and unmistakable five-flavor joy. (Rainbow Cone includes: Chocolate, Strawberry, Palmer House (NY Vanilla, Cherries, & Walnuts), Pistachio-Almond, and Orange Sherbet)

This popular New York Bakery is VERY popular in Chicago. We have three locations now: West Loop, River North, and Lincoln Park. I stopped by to try their new summer items. I love when a new cookie flavor is announced. I tried the raspberry pistachio cookie and it was DELICIOUS! It’s bright, fruity, Valrhona raspberry chips, pistachios, and white chocolate. You can have it on its own or it’s also included in the “Nuts about Summer” assortment package. I also had the cookie milk latte and the sandwich cookie collaboration with Pretty Cool Ice Cream. Kone Ranger Sold Out Runway Fashion Show

I was invited to attend an exclusive runway show by Chicago designer Kone Ranger aboard First Lady Cruises.

On Sunday, July 19, Kone Ranger debut “HOLD-FAST,” a bold new collection of up cycled, cut & sewn, and contemporary streetwear designs during an immersive fashion experience aboard a First Lady vessel on the Chicago River. Set against the city’s iconic skyline, the sold-out event will brought together fashion, music, and iconic Chicago culture aboard one of the city’s most recognizable vessels. After the fashion show we enjoyed a two-hour cruise, live music, and complimentary beer and wine.
