There’s never a shortage of new restaurants opening up in Chicago. At the end of last month (July 22nd to be exact) the Chicago restaurant Scene gained a new spot. Last night I went to check out Solette and I had a blast. I can see it being my new go to after work. They have awesome happy hour deals and a beautiful outdoor patio. Read on below for more info.
New Dining Concept Solette, Brings Elevated New American Cuisine to Chicago’s Financial District
Chicago’s vibrant dining scene welcomes a distinctive new addition. This July, Solette opened its doors at The Bell, located on the West side of the Loop at 225 W. Randolph Street. It brings a fresh perspective to modern American dining in the neighborhood. Blending bold flavors, warm hospitality, and an inviting atmosphere, Solette is more than just a restaurant; it’s a dynamic gathering spot where approachable menus meet effortless style. Solette is set to bring new energy to one of the country’s most celebrated culinary cities.
Guests can expect a menu of modern American fare that balances comfort and creativity. Highlights include crispy calamari with citrus ginger sauce, mains like the signature Solette burger, steak frites, and seared salmon, plus a lively happy hour scene. The drink program pairs a curated selection of classic and contemporary cocktails- the richly spiced Old Fashioned offers a spirit-forward anchor, while originals like the herbaceous Orange Line, a whiskey mule riff with tepache and rosemary, capture Solette’s Chicago soul.
Designed in collaboration with acclaimed interior design studio Ste. Marie, who also recently breathed new life into the iconic Rosewood Hotel Georgia Lobby and lounge. The space nods to the polish of the 1970s through a modern lens. Warm walnut woods, brushed brass accents, fluted glass, and rich upholstery create an atmosphere that’s both nostalgic and fresh. A sweeping bar anchors the room, making it the ideal spot for solo guests, after-work happy hours, or casual business catch-ups over dinner.
Solette is intended to become a go-to for locals and visitors alike- a place to indulge, connect, and create lasting memories. Monday-Friday 11am-8pm
