My fellow Chicagoans (and everyone else of course) come with me on a fun road trip to the NEW luxury treehouses at Kalahari Resorts. I was invited to the media unveiling and a time was had!

The collection of luxury Treehouses was created in partnership with Pete Nelson of Nelson Treehouse, widely known as the host of Animal Planetโs Treehouse Masters. On Monday, May 18, we ventured to the intimate media preview and got to stay overnight in the elevated Treehouses. Theyโre a nature-forward expansion celebrating the beauty of Wisconsin Dells and the magic of living amongst the trees.

The treehouse stays include nature-immersive lodging with full resort access, to Kalahariโs signature indoor and outdoor waterparks, access to the propertyโs private beach and new outdoor pool, and use of six boat slips on Lake Delton. The structures themselves are finished in handcrafted wood and panoramic lake-view porches; the Nelson Treehouseโs signature attention to material and light is evident throughout.

Todd Nelson, founder of Kalahari Resorts & Conventions, and Pete Nelson shared the inspiration, craftsmanship, and vision behind the Treehouses before guiding media through the space. The evening concluded with dinner at Dayleneโs Supper Club, a true Midwestern supper club experience on the shores of Lake Delton, with live entertainment. The beloved Midwestern supper club blends tradition with timeless hospitality, refined cuisine, handcrafted cocktails, and stunning waterfront views. While rooted in the rich heritage of Wisconsin supper clubs, Dayleneโs offers a fresh and modern perspective including a distinctive dining experience, welcoming guests for lunch and dinner.
Guests can begin their visit with a handcrafted Old Fashioned at the inviting bar before exploring a menu inspired by classic Midwestern supper club traditions. Offerings range from hand-cut steaks and slow-roasted prime rib to flatbreads and house-made favorites like French onion soup, shrimp cocktail, and decadent desserts, each dish thoughtfully prepared to bring comfort, flavor, and a sense of occasion to the table. Reservations for Dayleneโs Supper Club are now open for service.
