Let me tell you a little story and see if you can relate….

Lake Lawn Resort

Lake Lawn Resort is a mere 90 minutes from downtown Chicago. The resort is located just outside of Lake Geneva along two miles of Delavan Lake’s shoreline. Guests visit this year-round getaway destination for the beauty of the resort, the serenity of the spa, the divine dining, and let’s not forget the activities lakeside and onsite. The resort is set on over 250-acres.

Lodges Queen Loft

There are 271 spacious rooms with different layouts. My friend and I stayed in the Queen Loft Lodge. This space would be perfect for a girls getaway trip or if you plan on coming with family. The Queen Loft Lodge comfortably sleeps 4 to 6 people. There are two queen-size beds with pillow top mattresses on the main level and two twin beds in the loft. We felt super comfy! My favorite part of the room would have to be the beautiful balcony facing Delavan Lake’s shoreline.

Calladora Spa

There’s plenty of activities to do at Lake Lawn Resort onsite and offsite. During spring/summer there’s golf, outdoor pools, motorized and non-motorized water sports, Lake Lawn Queen lake tours, tennis courts, basketball courts, bicycle rentals, beach, and lakefront walking paths.

Indoor Pool

There’s just as much to enjoy in the winter as well such as: cross country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, bonfires, indoor swimming pool/ hot tub, fitness center, arcade room, spa, and Bucky’s Playhouse (featuring movies, crafts, board games, pingpong, and foosball).

I did an overnight trip to Lake Lawn Resort. I mainly stayed onsite and took advantage of the indoor pool/hot tub and the spa. OMG I was sooooo relaxed at the Calladora Spa. I ended up getting a deep tissue massage, Oremedic restoring facial, and enjoyed an amazing sweat session in the steam room afterwards. Calladora Spa is a full-service spa offering massage therapy, facials, dermaplanning, peel treatments, body treatments, mani/pedi, salon, makeup, and waxing services. Make sure to ask about package deals!

Lookout Bar & Eatery

My favorite activity I partook in at Lake Lawn Resort was the dining! There are 3 onsite restaurants to choose from. I overindulged at Lookout Bar & Eatery and had it morning, noon, and night. It was my first time experiencing igloo dining and definitely not my last!

Imagine being able to dine outdoors during the colder months. Our igloo was situated right on Delavan Lake shoreline and we were able to catch the sunset as we sipped on cocktails and enjoyed the Captains Table entrees. I would highly recommend the Angus Filet or the Seared Chili Maple Salmon. Our igloo experience was truly what dining with a view means!

New Year’s Eve: Lake Lawn Resort is hosting a New Year’s Eve Party (Dec. 31) to wave goodbye to 2021 and ring in 2022 in style. There are two NYE experiences for guests to experience – one for adults only, and one for families.
