Chicago Welcomes Back Fifth Annual Chicago Friday Night Flights on
August 13th
Held at Lakeview’s Gallagher’s Way, the open-air event produced by Choose Chicago and the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild will showcase 30 local breweries.
Choose Chicago, together with the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild, is pleased to welcome back Chicago Friday Night Flights for its fifth season on Friday, August 13. Held at Gallagher Way next to iconic Wrigley Field, in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood, this special edition, open-air event will highlight Chicago’s thriving craft beer scene, represented by 30 locally based breweries.
Participating breweries to date include: Adam Street Brewery, Alarmist Brewing, Around the Bend, Begyle Brewing, Bold Dog Beer Co, Casa Humilde Cerveceria, Corridor Brewery & DryHop Cruz Blanca, Dovetail Brewery, Duneyrr, ERIS Brewery & Cider House, Finch Beer, Forbidden Root, Great Central Brewing, Greenstar Brewery, Half Acre Beer Co, Haymarket Brewery, Illuminated Brew Works, Lake Effect Brewing, Lo Rez Brewing, Maplewood Brewing, Midwest Coast Brewing, Moody Tongue Brewing, Odious Cellars, Old Irving Brewing Co, On Tour Brewing, Ravinia Brewing, Pilot Project, Pipeworks Brewing and Spiteful Brewing.
“Chicago Friday Night Flights is a perfect recipe for locals and visitors to explore our city’s vibrant neighborhoods which are also home to an incredible variety of craft beers produced by Chicago’s award-winning breweries,” says Glenn Eden, Board Chair of Choose Chicago.
The event will include two sessions (running 5:00-7:00pm or 8:00-10:00pm) with a tasting pass for purchase ($25 online, $30 at the door), allowing participants to sample 10 3-ounce beers from participating breweries. A live DJ, the Smoke Daddy food truck and other local food vendors, and the Chicago Cubs game streamed live on the video board will round out the experience.
